Safeguarding at Blessed Carlo Acutis Catholic School

BCACS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the positive wellbeing of pupils and expects everyone involved with our school to share this commitment. We strive to ensure that consistent and effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support pupils, families and staff.

BCACS has policies and procedures in place to deal effectively with child protection and safeguarding issues together with recording and monitoring processes. The School is alert to risks and follows the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Safeguarding Policy. This states that all school staff must pass on information that gives rise to concern regarding a pupil’s welfare; including risk from neglect, physical, emotional or sexual abuse. Records of safeguarding concerns are kept by the School. Members of the Safeguarding Team seek to discuss any concerns with the person(s) who have Parental Responsibility prior to making referrals to other agencies for support. The School works closely with the Multi-Agency Service Hub for Rhondda Cynon Taf/ Merthyr, Intake and Assessment in Blaenau Gwent and Caerphilly.

If you have concerns about a pupil, please contact the relevant DSP to discuss these concerns.
