The RRRS grant, which stands for Recruit, Recover, Raise Standards: Accelerating Learning Programme, was introduced by the Welsh Government in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant allows schools to put in place and deploy additional human capacity in order to support learners in addressing their needs following the pandemic and period of school closure.
This funding will be used at our school in order to develop Pupils as independent learners through providing support and encouraging engagement with learning, through a HLTA. This is in recognition that the most disadvantaged learners will need emotional support before they are able to fully engage with learning again.
The grant is only to be used by schools for additional human resources in achieving the above aim – it is not eligible to be used for equipment or consumable.
